Role Highlights:
Position: Senior Data Scientist
Type of work: Hybrid from Athens or Thessaloniki. 100% remote from other cities 50km+ from Athens or Thessaloniki is also possible.
Work from office requirements: 2 day per week from the office, 3 days per week from the office. 100% remote option is also possible.

About the role As a Senior Data Scientist, you’ll play a key role in the development of intelligent systems and predictive solutions. You’ll be working closely with engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders to design, develop, and deploy machine learning models that drive decision-making and power AI-based features across the company’s digital platforms. This position is ideal for someone with deep technical knowledge, practical experience, and a strong business-oriented mindset.
Tech stack The core data environment revolves around Python’s machine learning ecosystem, including popular libraries and frameworks. Projects also include MLOps implementation, object-oriented programming practices, deep learning techniques, and—where relevant—Big Data technologies such as Spark or PySpark, typically deployed in cloud environments like Azure or Databricks.
What will you do
Translate business and product needs into machine learning use cases.
Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and create features that support effective model training.
Select appropriate algorithms and run comparative experiments to validate model performance.
Tune model parameters, monitor evaluation metrics, and implement models into production workflows.
Manage the entire lifecycle of AI-driven features—from data preprocessing to deployment and monitoring.
Collaborate with cross-functional tech teams to integrate ML components into larger systems.
Guide and mentor junior data scientists and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
Ideally you bring
Deep understanding of core machine learning concepts and algorithms.
Hands-on experience deploying machine learning models in production environments.
Familiarity with MLOps principles and tools.
Strong background in Python, including object-oriented programming.
Practical knowledge of deep learning methodologies.
Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and communication.
Full professional fluency in English.
(Nice to have) Experience with Big Data tools (e.g., Spark, PySpark) and cloud environments like Azure or Databricks.
(Nice to have) Exposure to GenAI applications or recommendation systems.
