Being able to exhibit the highest level of accounting support to all members, guests, vendors and other departments is a must. This is a dynamic business, and we are looking for the right individual to be autonomous and to be able to pick up multiple tasks and projects.

Who We Are The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time. Seven years after launching The Ned London in 2017, we are proud to be opening a Ned’s Club in the US capital, our fourth and newest location.
The Property Ned’s Club Washington DC is a members’ club set over three floors of a neoclassical style building situated within President’s Park at 734 15th Street NW. The Riggs Building sits opposite the US Treasury and was constructed in 1930. The 12‑storey building is located around the corner from the White House and sits above the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, formerly the historic Riggs Bank Corcoran branch. The Club has a Rooftop Terrace and Loft Restaurant with views overlooking the White House, US Treasury and Washington Monument, plus a Founder’s Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery and Conservatory. On level nine, there is a self-contained floor of private event spaces.
Key Responsibilities
Overseeing all finance operations for Ned’s Club Washington, DC.
Leading budgeting and forecasting for the Club, in collaboration with General Manager and Membership Executive Director.
Overseeing month end and year end processes, adhering to all applicable timelines.
Supporting annual audit and controls testing.
The Management of cash flow.
Being responsible for training and development of finance leaders and support staff.
Communicating with management team regarding P&Ls, budgets, financial forecasts, etc.
Reporting weekly, monthly, and annually on performance metrics, analytics, and variances.
Ensuring accurate reporting of all balance sheet, cash, revenue, and expense details.
Overseeing fixed asset, depreciation, and capital plan budgeting and tracking.
Reconciling and filing monthly, quarterly, and annual taxes per statutory and jurisdictional requirements.
Coordinating with operations teams to ensure proper controls and accounting for physical inventory and recording of cost and expense.
Analyzing financial data and operating procedures to provide guidance on efficiency, return on investment, and future success.
Having the ability to understand complex concepts and disseminate information in a palatable way depending upon the audience.
Working closely with People Director to ensure compliance with statutory and jurisdictional wage scales, pay, and benefit rules.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop dynamic financial forecasts, budgets, and financial models.
Building strong partnerships with internal customers and outside vendors.
Establishing and maintaining good communications and teamwork with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel.
Fulfilling guest experience expectations and identify areas of opportunity in the way we approach our patrons through exceptional customer service standards.
Being courteous and gracious, always maintaining a professional demeanor.
Adhering to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos and verbal instructions.
Maintaining “open door” communication with employees.
Completing any tasks as assigned by the Corporate Director of Finance, Group Managing Director or Managing Director.
Qualifications
A minimum of 3+ years of employment in a Director role for F&B or related hospitality accounting management.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred. Will consider a combination of education and relevant experience.
Proficient in using accounting software and MS Excel.
Proven success of “champion of the culture,” facilitating excellent communication and engagement. Positive attitude and ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
Team focused and flexible to accommodate business demands.
Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
Maintain and apply a thorough understanding of GAAP and USALI.
Ability to effectively manage different stakeholders and tasks.
