Job Summary Electrical Senior Project Manager

– Englewood, CO

AE2S is seeking an experienced Electrical Senior Project Manager to provide proactive leadership and electrical engineering solutions in water infrastructure. This role will focus on leading electrical designs for water treatment and distribution, wastewater treatment, municipal systems, process facilities, power generation and distribution, lighting, instrumentation/controls, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).

Responsibilities

Maintain and enhance client relationships, support proposal development, and identify new project opportunities.

Design and develop electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and requirements.

Conduct research and feasibility studies for new electrical technologies and applications.

Lead large‑scale, multi‑discipline design projects, including budgeting, task delegation, and monitoring of design schedules.

Provide technical expertise, quality control, and assurance to meet project deliverables on time.

Expand business by pursuing strategies aligned with AE2S’s strategic initiatives.

Collaborate across disciplines and with external subconsultants to deliver work on schedule, within budget, and exceeding client expectations.

Mentor and provide performance oversight for assigned project team members.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Minimum 10 years of electrical system design experience in the water/wastewater industry, with design‑bid‑build required and preferred experience in design‑build/CMAR.

Professional Engineer registration or ability to obtain.

Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering principles, compliance, regulations, and standards.

Strong leadership and mentorship skills for mid‑to‑senior level team members.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Advanced knowledge of power distribution, lighting, special systems, instrumentation, and control systems (including SCADA).

Ability to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records).

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of electrical engineering experience in water and/or wastewater treatment.

Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems.

Medium voltage experience.

Project management experience.

Experience with scope and fee development specific to electrical design.

Physical Requirements

Walk up to 3 miles on uneven terrain.

Stand or sit for prolonged periods.

Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.

Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 20 lbs, rarely up to 50 lbs).

Inspect equipment or structures to identify defects.

May be required to wear PPE including flame‑resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear.

May require occasional evenings, weekends, and overtime.

May require travel to off‑site locations including occasional overnight stays.

Anticipated starting salary $121,500–$148,500 DOE; position will remain posted until filled.
