Electrical Engineer (Power Systems)
Location: Montana (Billings, Bozeman, Great Falls, or Kalispell). AE2S is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead and deliver electrical power systems on projects such as water treatment and distribution, wastewater treatment and collection, municipal systems, process facilities, power generation and distribution, lighting, instrumentation/controls, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition. Preferred Montana Locations: Billings, Bozeman, Great Falls, or Kalispell. Responsibilities
Be a critical part of AE2S culture to provide extreme client service. Provide professional electrical engineering services for projects including planning, studies, design, bidding and construction administration. Manage project performance, including team members and budgets, and maintain schedules. Maintain existing client relationships and lead pursuits to expand relationships with clients in the region. Identify, evaluate, pursue, and manage project opportunities. Provide quality control and quality assurance on all project work. Coordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetings. Develop new electrical markets in the region and client relationships. Basic Requirements
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. 5+ years of electrical system design experience in water/wastewater, power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, substation, renewable energies, or similar industrial facility areas. Registration as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to travel as required for project/client responsibilities and business development. Application of pre-employment onboarding requirements such as criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search. Preferred Qualifications
7+ years of Electrical Engineering experience in water and/or wastewater treatment. Renewable energy experience (Wind, Solar, Battery Banks, etc.). Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems. Substation design and medium voltage experience. Project management experience. Knowledge of project financials. Physical Qualifications
Ability to walk up to 3 miles on uneven terrain. Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time. Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist. Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight. May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds. Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify errors or defects. May require wearing Personal Protection Equipment such as flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear. May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload. May require travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays. Benefits
