The Senior Manager Production Support has significant impact on achievement of operational goals by ensuring that any new software integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications. This person is responsible for managing a managed service provider and internal Business Systems Analyst team and guaranteeing reliable software systems that meet the needs of the Organization. This role will monitor incoming service requests, incidents and projects and ensure they are completed in a timely and high-quality manner. The position collaborates with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable requirements, applies business process knowledge, and maximizes the benefit of IT investments and initiatives. The role oversees D365 production support, ISV/integrations and enhancements to the existing solution.
Responsibilities
Systems Development Lifecycle: review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems/technologies and develop strategies for improvement; research, identify and propose best practices. Partner with business stakeholders to clarify objectives, determine feasibility, and assess business implications/value of service requests or improvements. Define functional/system requirements and document current/future state business processes. Ensure new software integrations meet functional/end-user requirements, compliance and interface specifications; maintain proper documentation. Develop effective test scenarios, scripts and use cases with cross-functional impact in mind. Analyze formal test results to identify and resolve defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws. Oversee small projects or phases of larger projects; coordinate activities of teams, schedules and resources. Develop strategies and implementation plans in conjunction with ERP initiatives; prioritize initiatives with key stakeholders. Maintain proficiency in end-user functional processes within supported applications. Perform application system administration functions for setup, configuration and maintenance. Monitor systems, processes and applications and gather metrics. Ensure information systems products and services meet quality and end-user requirements. Provide expertise and problem resolution to functional departments when issues go beyond the knowledge of key users. Serve as escalation point for business managers, key users and global applications staff. Manage IT delivery of training curriculum and materials; drive technology adoption. Monitor service requests to ensure adherence to SLA and customer satisfaction. Manage D365 environments, release calendar, updates/refreshes, UAT/testing calendars and planning for regular releases. Manage ISV upgrade cadence, issue resolution and relationships with ISV providers. Production Support (Run Time)
Proficient in end-user functional processes within supported applications. Perform application system administration for setup, configuration and maintenance. Monitor systems, processes and applications; gather metrics. Ensure information systems products and services meet quality and end-user requirements. Provide expertise and problem resolution to functional departments when issues extend beyond the knowledge of key users. Serve as escalation point for business managers, key users and global applications staff. Manage IT delivery of training materials and support technology adoption. Monitor service requests to ensure SLA delivery and customer satisfaction. Manage D365 environments and release planning for regular updates. Manage ISV upgrade cadence and relationships with ISV providers. Organization and Management
Hire, mentor and evaluate staff; provide feedback and conduct annual performance reviews. Develop budgets for the IT organization. Ensure sufficient training for all staff on existing and new software. Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 10+ years’ experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting. 5+ years of experience leading and managing direct reports of functional and technical resources. Additional or Preferred Qualifications
8+ years of experience in design, development, customization, implementation, integration, and administration of MS Dynamics 365 F&O solutions. Experience with full life-cycle implementations of D365 F&O and managing the production support team. 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in large teams. 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Power Platform. Expertise with the D365 F&O technology stack and related Microsoft technologies (Azure, Azure SQL, Power BI, Common Data Service, Power Apps, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Machine Learning, etc.). Strong knowledge of ERP systems and business solution implementations. Strong understanding of Dynamics 365 topics including AIF, Workflow, Data Import, Reporting, and LCS. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with 3rd party products or technologies (XRMToolBox, XRMToolKit). Vendor management experience including ISVs on the D365 F&O platform. Experience in CI/ALM environments with source control, automated testing, and build automation. Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools (Azure DevOps/Jira). Self-motivated, with ownership and ability to drive tasks to completion. Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills. Experience implementing integrations using Azure services (Service Bus, Logic Apps, Functions, Data Factory). Ability to document current state to future state enterprise-capable integration solutions. Knowledge of D365 D365/Dataverse, Model Driven/Canvas Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint. Development tools knowledge: C#, SQL, .Net, D365 CRM SDK, CRM Plugins, JSON, REST API, PowerApps, Power BI, Power Automate. Strong knowledge of Microsoft D365 F&O and D365 CRM. Adherence to standards, best practices and delivery processes. Experience leading hybrid/Agile teams. Ability to plan and design Integrations for D365 F&O with Azure technology stack. Experience using diagramming tools like Lucidchart or Visio. PMP and SCRUM certifications preferred. Strong communication and technical writing skills; ability to develop strategic relationships. Experience with data cleansing, verification and migration; knowledge of master data management and data quality. Progression of increasing responsibilities and business impact.
