The JMETC Network Architect provides a well-rounded System Engineering approach in the design and performance of the Joint Mission Environment Test Capability (JMETC) Networks. Responsibilities
Design, build, and manage computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and cloud infrastructures, including planning network designs, researching new technologies, ensuring network security, overseeing implementation, and upgrading hardware and software to meet operational requirements. Work with government, contractors, industry, and customers to provide Network collaborative services. Provide technical direction for interconnecting distributed test and development laboratory enclaves, cloud connections, network peering, and remote site connectivity. Coordinate technical support with JMETC test customers, JMETC Systems Control (SYSCON), Network Operations and Security Centers, and Cyber Security teams. Demonstrate experience in DoD Network management, common network troubleshooting tools and techniques. Collaborate with customers to ensure network availability and networked services adequately support distributed test events. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information. The JMETC program, located in Arlington, VA, focuses on developing and deploying processes, architecture, and middleware to facilitate cost-effective integration of Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) entities to support the DoD acquisition community testing needs using a distributed testing approach. JMETC will be integral to testing systems-of-systems applications within a realistic joint mission construct. Minimum Qualifications
Education: Technical Bachelor's Degree Minimum of 10 years’ experience Experience working with DoD Wide Area Networks and familiarity with various network architectures, multicast data flows, and common protocols Coordination, Communication and Presentation skills Cisco and Juniper Network certifications Active Secret Clearance with the Ability to obtain TS/SCI Ability to travel up to 25% Extensive layer 2/3 experience Network Design Security Management Deployment and Testing Performance Optimization Troubleshooting Documentation Preferred Qualifications
Security Certification CISM or CISSP VoIP / Call manager infrastructure design and troubleshooting experience Distributed Test and or Training Experience Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) Environments Test Analysis and Test Planning DREN, SDREN and DISN engineering experience DoD Programs and Acquisition process Testing in Distributed Exercises/Events Windows Server and Red Hat systems administration experience / certifications Experience in VMware environments Cisco Next Generation Firewalls Belong, Connect and Grow at KBR At KBR, we are passionate about our people and our Zero Harm culture.
