What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Define and manage the roadmap for healthcare integrations, including HL7 orders/results and FHIR APIs
Serve as the subject matter expert on interoperability standards, guiding engineering teams on best practices
Partner with internal teams and external clients to gather requirements and prioritize features
Oversee the full lifecycle of integration products from concept through deployment and support
Ensure integration solutions meet HIPAA, HITRUST, and other regulatory standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 6 years with a master’s degree, or a PhD with 3 years of experience
Deep understanding of HL7 v2.x, FHIR, CDA, and EHR systems
Proven experience delivering integration solutions in clinical or operational healthcare settings
Strong technical acumen to translate complex requirements into actionable plans
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Familiarity with integration engines such as Mirth, Cloverleaf, and Redox Engine
Understanding of payer-provider data exchange (e.g., eligibility, claims) is a plus
Experience with cloud-based integration platforms and APIs
