JOB SUMMARY

Harris-Stowe State University is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to serve as a Project Director. This full-time, 12-month position is funded by a 4-Year grant from the U.S. Department of Justice: Office on Violence Against Women (OVW). The ideal candidate will have a solid background in social work, human services, public health, criminal justice, or a related field, and a strong commitment to fostering community relationships, with a focus on building culturally relevant strategies to address domestic violence, dating violence, assault, and stalking.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Oversee daily operations and coordinate all grant activities related to administrating the OVW Campus Program grant.

Work closely with the Project Supervisor and other key stakeholders to develop, facilitate, and maintain the institution's Coordinated Community Response Team (CCRT).

Maintain detailed calendar of events for programming and initiatives.

Arrange schedules, travel itineraries, and conference attendance.

Cultivate and sustain collaborative relationships with a wide array of stakeholders (staff, faculty, students, community members, and community partners) in order to accomplish training sessions, workshops, and seminars.

Support budget maintenance by tracking expenditures and revenues.

Collect and organize relevant institutional data to submit in bi-annual performance reports.

Attend all mandatory virtual and in-person trainings and technical assistance sessions required by the grant program, including New Grantee, Training and Technical Institutes, webinars, and scheduled calls with OVW Campus Technical Assistance Providers and the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW).

Adhere to all relevant federal and state laws and confidentiality guidelines of the award.

Serve as the point of contact in the Director’s absence.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Experience in project management and facilitation skills.

Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.

Strong knowledge of research and best practices as they related to prevention and/or victim/survivor advocacy for domestic violence, dating violence, assault and stalking specifically in a college setting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management software (e.g., Excel, Word).

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, public health, criminal justice, or related field.

1-3 years of related experience including working with multidisciplinary teams, grants, or subject matter work related to domestic violence, dating violence, assault and stalking.

Ability to collect, manage, and analyze program data to ensure compliance with OVW documentation standards

Ability to manage social media platforms for program outreach and recruitment.

Experience in fast-paced environments with a focus on efficiency and compliance.
