Key job responsibilities

Manage a cross‑functional team, working with stakeholders to define priorities and set clear direction for your reports

Lead cross‑functional engineering meetings and design reviews

Dive into and take ownership for critical embedded software, electrical and mechanical design, DFM and DFT deliverables and issues

Work closely with partner hardware operations and software development teams

Assist with recruitment, management, development and maintenance of a world‑class system design team

About The Team The team is a group of electrical, mechanical, embedded firmware, manufacturing, and manufacturing engineers who devise hardware that enables Just Walk Out shopping and Amazon One experiences.

Basic Qualifications

Experience managing successful and high‑performing engineering teams

Experience delivering products utilizing a production development process

Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience

Experience in RFID (Radio‑Frequency Identification) technology

Compensation The base pay for this position ranges from $135,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $234,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
