In this role you will lead the Consumer Platform that empowers customers across tax, personal finance, and money—helping them lift the burden of tax preparation with AI‑enabled assistance and building a year‑round relationship around financial benefits.

As the Head Architect you will partner with SVP of Engineering to own the overall technology strategy and architecture for the Consumer Platform, ensure governance of emerging solutions, and embed AI‑native capabilities that deliver measurable customer benefit.

What You’ll Do

Lead architecture and technical direction for the Consumer Platform.

Translate business strategy into durable technology solutions, focusing on Tax platform capabilities.

Coach and manage Distinguished Engineers and Principal Engineers, defining focus areas and nurturing high‑performance talent.

Drive technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and broad technical governance across Intuit TechEcosystem.

Foster collaboration across global teams, manage roadmaps, and prioritize initiatives that balance business needs with technical feasibility.

Champion engineering and operational excellence, implementing data‑driven processes to improve availability and developer productivity.

Build and sustain a culture of speed, customer obsession, and bold innovation.

Qualifications

15+ years in product/platform development with a BS/MS in computer science or equivalent.

3+ years leading and coaching globally distributed engineering teams.

Proven expertise delivering large‑scale SaaS solutions.

Deep experience in full‑stack architecture, services, data, analytics, AI, and marketing technologies.

Track record of building high‑performance organizations and collaborating across complex product ecosystems.

Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.

Demonstrated proficiency in AI‑driven customer outcomes and data‑powered product experiences.

Understanding of high‑availability design and scalable system engineering.

Passion for facilitative leadership and cross‑boundary collaboration.

Compensation and Benefits Intuit offers a competitive total‑compensation package that includes salary, cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits. The expected base pay range for this position in the Bay Area is $384,500.00 – $520,500.00, determined by experience, knowledge, and location.
