Management of all loan related processes, including commercial and consumer servicing, payment and loan accounting, loan booking, and mortgage servicing. Works closely with all internal/external business units. Serve as a subject matter expert on loan product servicing escalations; independently handle assignments and special projects related to department functions and strategic goals. Improve the overall customer experience, manage risk, and ensure compliance with bank policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal banking regulations within the scope of responsibilities. Administrative reporting, efficiency reviews, internal cross-training, and development of department procedures. Establish and enforce standards, policies, and procedures; drive continued process improvements. Lead process-improvement projects to increase operational efficiency, improve client experience, and manage risk; stay current on loan operations concepts and procedures for system utilization and problem resolution. Communicate with customers regarding Loan Operations matters; assist with inquiries or problems; research and correct errors; manage suspense and house accounts to ensure timely resolution; coordinate major Loan Operations initiatives per leadership guidance. Directly manage Loan Operations employees in accordance with policies and laws; responsibilities include hiring, training, performance appraisals, career development, and disciplinary actions. Provide coaching and recognition as appropriate; complete annual performance reviews and succession planning. Monitor and coordinate vendor processing related to Loan Operations; ensure KPI standards are met; ensure SOX compliance; coordinate, lead, and implement projects; present objectives, alternatives, and cost/benefit analyses. Maintain the department’s annual budget process; monitor and enforce budget parameters; provide monthly management reports. If designated as BUCO (Business Unit Compliance Officer): oversee day-to-day compliance for the business unit and related third-party vendor relationships in alignment with Compliance Management System Policy and Bank Secrecy Act Policy; promote a culture of compliance and timely mitigation of compliance risks; exercise judgment and influence to balance business strategy with controls. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year university in Business Administration or related field required. 7+ years of experience in Consumer, Commercial, Dealer, and Residential Mortgage required. 4+ years in a Management role or 1+ years in a Directorial role required. 1+ years of Project Management and/or General Ledger experience preferred. 2+ years of Vendor Management experience and knowledge of bank regulations and practices within Loan Operations preferred. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Must be able to perform light physical work and to move or lift items up to 20 pounds. Operate and proficiently use standard office equipment and applications. Clear verbal and written communication with internal and external customers; good hearing for daily interactions. Must be able to read and understand bank-related documents. Work in a conventional office setting; able to sit at a desk or workstation for long periods and adapt to varying environments as needed. Additional Information
