Description County of Santa Clara Health System (CSCHS), a large public teaching health system affiliated with Stanford University School of Medicine, is seeking a full‑time BE/BC general psychiatrist with fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry to support our new Behavioral Health Pavilion, and a part‑time BC/BE psychiatrist to join our Division of Acute Psychiatric Services (APS).

About Our Organization CSCHS is the second‑largest county‑owned health system in California, serving 1.9 million residents of Santa Clara County. The system includes four hospitals—Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, O’Connor Hospital, Saint Louise Regional Hospital and Regional Medical Center—and a network of primary care, urgent care, dental, behavioral health and specialty services. CSCHS partners with Stanford University SOM and provides residency and fellowship training integrated with an Epic electronic health record platform.

About the Department of Psychiatry The Department of Psychiatry staffs 90 psychiatrists, psychologists, advanced practice providers and licensed clinical social workers. Services include a 24/7 psychiatric emergency room, an urgent‑care clinic, inpatient units, adult and juvenile custody clinics, and community mental‑health and substance‑treatment clinics. The department emphasizes culturally responsive, trauma‑informed care and teaching to trainees from other specialties.

About the Positions

Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist : Board‑eligible or board‑certified in general psychiatry and/or child and adolescent psychiatry during the hiring year. The role supports the new Behavioral Health Pavilion, providing emergency and inpatient services to a diverse patient population and may include adult acute psychiatric services.

APS Psychiatrist : Experience working with patients with serious mental illness in emergency, consultation liaison or inpatient settings. Demonstrated history in public or community psychiatry is preferred.
