As an Accounting Clerk, you will support the daily operations of the accounting department, including maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with reconciliations and reporting. This role is integral to ensuring the organization's financial processes run smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry to update and maintain accounting and financial records.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank accounts and match invoices to purchase orders for accuracy.
- Assist with payroll preparation and tracking employee expense reports.
- Communicate with vendors and staff to resolve discrepancies in invoices or payments.
- Prepare and file documents for audits, reporting, and financial tracking.
- Support month-end and year-end closings by preparing journal entries and financial reports.
- Perform administrative tasks such as organizing files, maintaining records, and other general office functions as needed.
- Previous experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a related entry-level accounting role.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- A high school diploma is required; an associate degree in Accounting or Business is preferred.
