Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our financial operations in San Diego, California. This role involves overseeing accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a commitment to excellence in financial management. Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate execution of tasks while providing guidance and resolving issues.
- Evaluate and enhance current accounts payable processes, ensuring efficiency and adherence to protocols.
- Supervise the accounts receivable team by reviewing assignments, improving workflows, and ensuring accurate and timely collections.
- Maintain and update a 13-week receipts forecast to support financial planning.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including credit card journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and revenue flux analysis.
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret financial data.
- Assist with bank reconciliations related to accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Support annual financial audits and participate in special projects, such as system implementations and ad hoc assignments.
- Monitor and resolve disputes with vendors and customers to ensure timely resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies in all financial processes. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field; associate's degree may be considered with relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software, with preference for Sage Intacct, Bill.com, and TimelyBill.
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting standards and regulations.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
