Base pay range
$130,000.00/yr - $145,000.00/yr

Position Overview
The Accounting Manager will play a key leadership role within the corporate accounting function, overseeing day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and driving process improvements. This individual will manage a team and collaborate cross‑functionally with finance, operations, and executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting.
- Manage and mentor a team of accountants; provide guidance, training, and professional development.
- Prepare key reporting and financials for leadership and private equity.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Partner with the Controller and Finance leadership to streamline processes and enhance internal controls.
- Lead annual audit activities, serving as the primary liaison with external auditors.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis as needed.
- Coordinate and communicate with external resources, external auditors, and tax.
- Research and resolve complex accounting issues; ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and GAAP research.
- Participate in ERP and process improvement initiatives, including automation and integration projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting experience (Big 4 or regional firm preferred).
- Strong technical accounting skills and solid understanding of U.S. GAAP.
- Demonstrated experience managing or mentoring accounting staff.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, privately held business environment.
Our client offers:
$130,000 to $145,000 base salary range dependent on experience, plus annual bonus target.
Medical, vision, dental, life insurance, PTO, sick, and paid holidays.
Remote – occasional travel to California.
