Find your future with us. **Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS)** is seeking a **Manufacturing Manager** (Level K) to support the **Bomber Aircraft Operations Team** based out of **Oklahoma City, Oklahoma** . This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative and varied team. In this role, you will partner with our cross-functional support teams, program leadership, and subject matter experts on process improvements, strategic business transformation initiatives, and lean-based projects to increase efficiency and improve both first-pass quality and safety. Utilizing Root cause corrective action and Lean methodologies, you will have the chance to identify, create solutions, and lead projects that will create value for the program. You will help drive business planning and decision-making, operations, and business insights up and down the BDS value stream. **Position Responsibilities:**
- Develop and execute integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives in accordance with MS&B and BDS business goals and objectives
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals
- Maintain technical, cost and schedule aspects of the IPT, including design, development, integration and support of the IPT's Mission Systems products and charter
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes. Manages, develops, and motivates employees
- Identify training requirements and assure opportunities are available to support the team's development
- Partner with local and enterprise-wide design centers to develop staffing strategies for successful program execution
- Responsible for the performance management and evaluation of direct reports including 1:1 coaching, employee development and ensuring technical proficiency
- Meet commitments, and drive quality, efficiency, and affordability
- Mentor and coach all levels of engineers providing knowledge transfer to aid in growing our next generation of leaders and engineers
- 5+ years of experience using LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools in the workplace
- 5+ years of experience working in operations or manufacturing environment
- Experience in developing and implementing process improvements
- Current active Secret U.S. Security Clearance
- Project Management experience preferred
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency and experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
