About the Role Culmen International is hiring Sr. Exploitation Specialist/Data Scientists to provide support on‑site at the National Geospatial‑Intelligence Agency (NGA) in Arnold, MO. The NGA expects to deliver AOS Metadata Cataloging and Management Services to enhance product and asset management of content for intelligence producers across the National System for Geospatial‑Intelligence.

What You’ll Do in Your New Role The Data Scientist will coordinate with clients to understand questions and issues involving the client’s datasets, then determine the best method to create data‑driven solutions within program guidelines. You will be a subject‑matter expert (SME), lead or assist in developing automated processes, architect data‑science solutions, conduct analysis, use available tools, remain adaptable to mission requirements, and identify patterns to solve complex problems for the DoD and Intelligence Community.

Work with large structured/unstructured data to define and create streamlined processes for evaluating unique datasets and solving challenging intelligence issues.

Lead and participate in the design of solutions and refinement of pre‑existing processes.

Collaborate with Customer Stakeholders, Program Managers, and Product Owners to translate road‑map features into components/tasks, estimate timelines, identify resources, suggest solutions, and recognize possible risks.

Use exploratory data analysis techniques to identify meaningful relationships, patterns, or trends from complex data.

Combine applied mathematics, programming skills, analytical techniques, and data to provide impactful insights for decision makers.

Research and implement optimization models, strategies, and methods to inform data management activities and analysis.

Apply big‑data analytic tools to large, diverse data sets to deliver impactful insights and assessments.

Conduct peer reviews to improve quality of workflows, procedures, and methodologies.

Help build high‑performing teams; mentor team members providing development opportunities to increase their technical skills and knowledge.

Required Qualifications

Requires TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI/Poly.

10+ years of relevant experience (professional certifications/trainings may be used in lieu of years).

Experience supporting IC operations.

Expert level knowledge to manipulate and analyze structured/unstructured data.

Experience in data mining and in developing/maintaining/manipulating databases.

Experience identifying potential system enhancements, new capabilities, concept demonstrators, and capability business cases.

Experience using GOTS data processing and analytics capabilities to modernize analytic methodologies.

Experience using COTS statistical software (e.g., MapLarge, Tableau, MATLAB) for advanced statistical analysis and data visualization.

Knowledge of advanced analytic methodologies and experience implementing and executing them for customer satisfaction.

Experience directing highly skilled technical and analytical teams responsible for developing solutions to highly complex analytical/intelligence problems.

Experience conducting multi‑INT and technology‑specific research to support mission operations.

Effective communication skills; ability to provide highly detailed information in an easy‑to‑understand format.

Desired Qualifications

Master’s degree in Data Science or related technical field.

Experience developing and working with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML).

Demonstrated advanced programming experience (HTML5/JavaScript, ArcObjects, Python, Model Builder, Oracle, SQL, GIScience, Geospatial Analysis, Statistics, ArcGIS Desktop/Server, ArcSDE, ArcIMS).

Experience using .NET, Python, C++, and/or Java programming for web interface development and geodatabase development.

Experience building and maintaining databases of GEOINT, SIGINT, or OSINT data related to area‑of‑interest needs.

Data visualization experience, including matrix analytics, network analytics, and graphing data to support operational pictures.
