The General Service Technician role is full time or part time and is an hourly position based on business needs. The General Service Technician performs basic routine vehicle repair and maintenance services in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications. This role aims to deliver exceptional 5-star service to guests through clear communication of vehicle issues and proposed solutions, while meeting guest time and quality expectations. Responsibilities

Accurately perform basic vehicle services and repairs in accordance with Monro standards of operation. Tire Services – wheel removal, balancing, patch/plug repairs, changing, mounting, installation and TPMS service and repair. Vehicle Services – lubrications, oil changes, basic maintenance (e.g., bulb, wiper blade and filter replacements), battery testing and installations. Complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection on every guest vehicle and document any additional needed services and repairs. Assist in inventory management, including pulling tires and parts, unloading and stocking inventory. Assist with general store duties to maintain cleanliness and guest-ready condition. Adhere to Monro safety standards including wheel torque, oil safety, and compliance procedures. Test drive vehicles according to Monro’s Road Test policy, using dedicated test drive routes and observing all traffic and safety laws; follow company policies, governmental standards, environmental codes, and ANSI/OSHA standards. Maintain technical knowledge by completing Monro University training modules. Operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner per Monro and manufacturer guidelines (lifts, welders, brake lathes, etc.). Perform other duties as assigned. Compensation

The hourly range for this role is $16-$18. This role is eligible for additional compensation and incentives. Pay is determined based on experience. Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Automotive training or equivalent combination of education and experience including basic car maintenance and repair. Must possess a current valid driver’s license, have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and be able to operate customer vehicles for test drives. Must own a basic set of tools or participate in Monro’s tool purchase program. Profile Summary

Ability to identify problems, collect data, and establish facts to make practical decisions and recommend solutions. Strong customer service skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical issues and write routine reports. Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This job operates in an automotive shop environment with moderate noise, possible exposure to weather, chemicals, odors, dirt, and dust. The following are representative requirements: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to see, lift up to 50 lbs, and stock merchandise and supplies without assistance. Frequent standing, walking, reaching, squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting. Benefits
