Overview Department: Emergency Department Schedule: Varies, 12 hour Shift/ Rotating Weekends Facility: Prime Healthcare Saint Mary of Nazareth Location: Chicago, IL
Responsibilities
Provides timely, non‑judgmental, compassionate care to the sexual assault victim.
This will include a forensic exam, prophylaxis for pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases, photographic documentation, referrals for appropriate medical and psychological follow‑up, support, and participation in legal proceedings.
Follow protocols established by the Medical Director and/or management of the SANE program.
Responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Qualifications
Current and valid state RN license.
Unrestricted State DL.
Current BLS (AHA) certificate on hire and maintained.
Completed approved Illinois SANE training (40 hours of didactic coursework).
Complete the initial Pediatric SANE training within 6 months of hire.
One (1) year of experience as SANE required.
