Linux Systems Administrator (Open in U.S.)

Location:

Fort Meade, MD (Remote if qualified)

Salary:

$103,800 – $218,100 per year (competitive benefits & learning opportunities).

Employment Type:

Full‑time, Regular employee, 10% travel (local).

Security Clearance:

TS/SCI with Polygraph required.

Responsibilities

Resolve IT hardware and software infrastructure issues (servers, network, security). Apply systems analysis techniques to ensure hardware, software, and system specifications function appropriately.

Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with user systems, servers, storage, and network connectivity.

Provide system administration for designated infrastructure, maintain security for users, and apply security patches and OS upgrades.

Support new infrastructure projects and maintain configuration documentation.

Qualifications

10–15 years of relevant experience (5 years may be substituted for a degree).

CWIP IAT Level 2 or Level 3.

TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.

Requirements

Heavy Linux administration experience.

Experience with Ansible (playbooks) or comparable automation tools.

Experience with cross‑domain solutions or NiFi.

Experience with integrated processing environments such as Storage Area Networks.

Configure Cisco / Palo Alto switches & firewalls.

Knowledgeable with virtual machines and IPSEC tunnels/VPN tunneling.

Proficient in scripting (Bash/Other) and automation.

Experience in cabling, documentation, rack & stack.

Experience with IVAP patching.

STE/STN skills.

Desired

Redhat Certified Engineer (RHEL – expert level).

Containerization experience (Docker/Kubernetes).

Strong automation (Ansible) skills.

Detailed documentation and process ownership.
