Job Overview
Ingalls Shipbuilding Division, HII’s largest manufacturing employer in Mississippi, designs, builds, and maintains amphibious ships, destroyers, and cutters for the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard. This position focuses on electrical engineering for naval shipbuilding.
Responsibilities
Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
Design electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
Develop electrical solutions for system integration of components and equipment aboard U.S. Navy ships.
Serve as engineering liaison with other disciplines and lead shipcheck and drawing development efforts.
Coordinate drawing development with Design, Engineering, and QA teams, resolving issues and answering questions.
Work with waterfront personnel to resolve installation issues.
Develop and coordinate drawing changes.
Review government‑furnished information and validate technical data with the engineering/design team to ensure proper design.
Qualifications
Must Have:
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited school; 0 years of experience.
Nice to Have:
Background in C4ISR or warfare systems; proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
