Job Description The Division of Humanities and Learning Communities is looking to hire Adjunct Faculty staff members to teach for the Communication Department in person and hybrid in‑person/web courses.
Ability to teach the following courses:
COM 241 Introduction to Today's Journalism
COM 242 Multimedia Journalism
Course offerings are available in both fully in‑person and hybrid in‑person/web formats on campus (Charlestown and Chelsea campuses), Monday through Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Requirements
Master's degree or Ph.D. in Journalism, Communication, or a related field.
Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population.
Teaching experience at the college level, with a preference for community college teaching experience.
Ability to teach courses on campus in an in‑person setting at BHCC's Charlestown or Chelsea campuses.
Effective communication skills are needed.
Excellent organizational and teaching skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology.
Professional experience in any aspect of journalism.
Salary $1,397.00 Per Credit Hour
Background Screening Please note that as a condition of employment, the final candidate will undergo Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) and Sex Offender Registry Information (SORI) background screenings in accordance with state regulations. The results of these screenings may impact the hiring decision.
