The Effector RF Design Team at Raytheon is seeking a talented senior engineer to lead the design and implementation of antenna, radome, and/or radar cross‑section (RCS) ranges and/or chambers. The selected candidate will lead project teams, provide technical oversight, and work with engineering and government stakeholders to establish technology roadmaps and drive innovation. The role also includes mentoring and coaching across the engineering organization.

What You Will Do

Develop antenna, radome, advanced sensor systems, and/or RCS ranges and chambers.

Work with interdisciplinary engineering teams including thermal, structural, mechanical, and systems to define, analyze, simulate, implement, and evaluate requirements for ranges and chambers.

Collaborate with chamber/range equipment and service suppliers.

Oversee implementation of new ranges and chambers.

Qualifications – Must Have

Bachelor of Science degree in STEM.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of experience.

Experience in testing antennas or radomes in a chamber or range.

Experience operating an antenna, radome, or RCS chamber/range.

Knowledge of antenna and sensor measurement theory and range operation.

Preferred Qualifications

Master of Science or PhD in Electrical Engineering.

Simulation and estimation experience on propagation, reflections, and scattering from AUT in anechoic chamber.

Measurement of hardware for RCS.

Experience designing and building RCS ranges/chambers.

Proficiency with Python, MATLAB, or other high‑level scientific programming languages.

Experience with high‑performance computing (HPC) and schedulers such as SLURM.

Proficiency with HFSS, CST, FEKO, SENTRi, and GRASP.

Experience designing conformal antennas.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and technical leadership skills.

Experience managing multiple priorities and leading technical execution plans.

Knowledge of earned‑value management, technical review presentation, and near‑field‑to‑far‑field processing.

Experience designing datalink, flight‑termination, telemetry, and GPS antenna systems.

Cost‑account management or integrated product team leadership experience.

What We Offer Salary Range:

$82,000 – $164,000

Relocation support may be provided based on eligibility.
