Job Title Civil Engineering III – Minneapolis, MN
Job Description AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineering III to lead detailed, routine engineering assignments in transportation, roadway, and utility design. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, guiding entry‑level engineers, and delivering primary design elements on schedule and within budget.
Responsibilities
Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established procedures.
Perform detailed or routine engineering assignments with calculations and tests.
Propose solutions for new problems using modifications of standard procedures.
Identify discrepancies in results and propose corrective actions.
Guide and review work of entry‑level engineers.
Complete primary design elements for engineering works independently.
Communicate and collaborate with other disciplines for project outcomes.
Adhere to agreed budgets and schedules with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
Ability to analyze plans, survey reports, maps, and project data.
Prepared cost estimates for equipment, materials, and labor.
Use design software for transportation systems and highway geometry.
Experience in roadway/ highway corridor modeling, earthwork calculations, and signing/marking design.
Knowledge of site layout and grading, water and wastewater utility design, ADA accessibility design, and stormwater hydraulic design.
Proficiency with plan development and technical specifications.
Licensed Minnesota Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months.
