Phlebotomist I – Quest Diagnostics
Location: Murrieta, CA Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotational Saturday 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Salary: $21.70 – $23.95 per hour. Eligible for annual performance bonus. Job Description
Phlebotomy requires a state phlebotomy license (Quest does not accept NHA licenses in CA, WA, NV). Responsibilities
Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening and insurance exams. Administer oral solutions according to established training. Research test/client information and verify written and electronic orders using lab technology systems and client contact. Accurately navigate a computer and enter data. Obtain identification, enter billing information, and collect payments following corporate policies. Process specimens (label, centrifuge, aliquot, freeze, prepare for transport). Perform non‑patient facing duties such as inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and utilizing email. Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures. Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data when required. Maintain phlebotomy logs, including temperature logs, in a timely manner. Complete online and in‑person training courses on schedule. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada and Washington. One year phlebotomy experience preferred. Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience. Strong English communication skills.
