Purpose of assignment: The Innovative Finance Capacity Building and Knowledge Management LTA will implement capacity building and knowledge management solutions to meet the needs of HQ, regional and country teams and partners operating in the Innovative Finance space.

Major tasks and deliverables

Development and deployment of Innovative Finance capacity building and strengthening tools, products and opportunities (e.g., modules, e-learnings, toolkits, guides, handbooks, etc.).

Development and dissemination of knowledge management assets and systems, including presentations, social media assets, reports, training materials, video and visual production, and animation with emphasis on post-production editing and adaptation for multiple use cases.

Development of knowledge management systems and platforms.

These expert services support the IF4C project pipeline and workflow, helping educate and build understanding, secure buy-in for new projects, and ensure sharing, monitoring and reporting of information with key partners in line with UNICEF obligations.

Objective The objective of this LTA is to facilitate and expedite the process by which the IF4C team hires capacity building and knowledge management experts for projects requiring tailored tools, content, systems and products. LTAs will establish a pool of consultants to provide services that enable knowledge management and information sharing across the IF4C ecosystem, and to develop training, procedures and tools for capacity strengthening on key IF4C topics. The services will also enable production and dissemination of high-quality knowledge products to strengthen external engagement and fundraising around innovative financing.

Responsibilities of the Consultant

Use of own equipment (laptops, microphones, software, etc.) required for the task.

Content ownership: consultant will not provide content to third parties without written UNICEF permission; all components are UNICEF property.

Branding: consultant will not include own name or logo on content; UNICEF branding may be used if required.

Maintain regular liaison with UNICEF IF4C managers, content owners and related units.

Responsibilities of UNICEF

Provide all activity details and branding guidelines.

Share documents and specifications as they become available and coordinate timely delivery of work.

Deliverables

Category 1 – Development and implementation of capacity building and strengthening opportunities.

Design trainings and webinars on innovative finance (e.g., e-learning on Agora and other platforms).

Implement trainings, including organization, participant management, and/or evaluation.

Facilitate and/or support trainings and webinars.

Design materials in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Develop multimedia content for stakeholder communication (animated videos, visuals, etc.).

Category 2 – Production and dissemination of knowledge assets and products.

Develop knowledge management tools and products (e.g., PowerBI dashboards and toolkits).

Design knowledge products (document design, visual assets, infographics, banners, etc.).

Produce multimedia content (animated videos, live videos, photography of key events).

Develop knowledge products for external and internal dissemination (dashboards, newsletters, guides, handbooks, presentations, reports).

Disseminate knowledge assets on external and internal channels and platforms.

Collect, categorize and maintain IF4C materials as knowledge resources.

Category 3 – Development of knowledge management systems and platforms.

Develop knowledge management systems for IF4C initiatives (e.g., collaboration sites, websites, SharePoint).

Provide technical support and maintenance of knowledge management systems.

Develop IF4C-specific pages on major social media channels.

Consultant’s workplace and travel The consultant will be remote/home-based. Travel may be required (e.g., meetings in Geneva). UNICEF will cover travel expenses and a travel budget should be included in the work order. Travel arrangements and related costs are governed by UNICEF travel policy.

Travel clauses

UNICEF travel rules apply and travel requires prior written UNICEF approval.

Consultant must be fit to travel, have a valid UN BSAFE certificate, required inoculations, and valid travel/medical insurance with vaccination card.

Duration and contracting

The LTA duration is 3 years with a fixed fee rate, subject to performance and ongoing need. Purchase of services is not guaranteed.

Contracts will be issued against approved TORs; consultants may be replaced by the next-ranked candidate if unavailable.

Payment upon completion of deliverables and satisfactory invoicing.

Qualifications Education : A first level university degree (Bachelor’s) in public relations, public administration, marketing, communications, graphic or digital design or related field.

Experience : Minimum five years in Graphic Design or Digital Communication; experience with SharePoint; experience creating multimedia content and training materials; proficiency with Adobe Premiere, Photoshop; experience creating financing content is desirable; UN/UNICEF experience is an asset.

Language : English fluency required; Spanish desirable; knowledge of another UN language is an asset.

Others : Excellent planning and organizational skills; strong interpersonal skills; ability to work in a multicultural environment.
