Overview
Bright Minds is searching for a hands-on System Administrator to manage and harden an on-prem and cloud infrastructure as well as support critical business systems and deliver advanced technical support in a fast-paced environment in the Kansas City area.
In this role, you’ll own the day-to-day administration of Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms. You’ll drive system uptime, performance, and security across core systems for an enterprise environment. You’ll play a key role supporting enterprise applications like JD Edwards (user/security management, batch processing, and access administration), Kofax capture and workflow systems, RingCentral VoIP, and internal operational tools including AP/Kofax reporting and E360 access reviews. Ideal candidates will have backgrounds managing user provisioning, RBAC, and privileged account audits to ensure compliance, automate infrastructure tasks using PowerShell and Terraform, and monitor performance across server and cloud environments.
Base pay range $90,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr
Duration Duration: 6-12+ Months Renewable Contract or FTE
Salary Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 + Benefits

Required Skills for the System Administrator
4+ years in a System Administrator or Systems Engineer role.
Windows Server & Active Directory administration (GPOs, DNS, DHCP).
Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud (Azure preferred).
Backup, DR, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs).
System monitoring, alerting, and log aggregation experience.
Administration experience with JD Edwards, Kofax, or VoIP (RingCentral/Cisco).
Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and privileged access management.
ITIL framework, audit, or compliance background.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s in IT/Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Certifications a plus: Microsoft Azure/Windows Server, VMware VCP, CompTIA Network+/Security+.
