Production Services Application Support - Foreign Exchange Sales and Trading

Impact
Work closely with the Foreign Exchange Trading businesses and technology development teams to administer and support BNYM trading applications and workflows across all FX products, including Spot, Forward, and NDFs.
Build, manage, and cultivate relationships with internal and external trading technology stakeholders and departments, including front‑office sales and trading, middle office and operations, compliance, and external technology providers.
Learn and improve critical business functions through the use of FX trading technology developed and deployed at the firm along the market‑making workflow, including securities pricing, offerings, trade execution, trade capture, and straight‑through processing to downstream systems.
Investigate, manage, and drive solutions to technological issues for our business partners, providing top‑tier service and timely restoration and response times.
Manage production oversight and control functions to improve stability and awareness of all changes to the trading technology environment.
Learn and participate in the development, deployment, and utilization of monitoring systems to improve issue visibility and provide proactive high‑quality support.
Work and collaborate as part of a dynamic, fast‑paced global team supporting an international business across New York, London, and Singapore.
Support daily technology workflows through batch monitoring, client and user onboarding, and administration of FX technology applications.
Support and monitor daily business‑critical batch processes to ensure quality and delivery.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced certifications in application support or IT service management preferred.
Typically 6‑10 years of experience.
Experience with front‑office trading platforms such as FX All, Refinitiv, FlexTrade, SmartTrade, EBS, Bloomberg, or equivalent proprietary trading technology.
Understanding of RFQ OTC product offering workflows.
FX and/or fixed‑income asset‑class product knowledge, including Spot, Outrights, NDFs, Forwards, Corporate Bonds, Municipal Bonds, Rates and derivatives, Mortgages, Commercial Paper, Certificates of Deposit, Futures, and Equities.
Good organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
High sense of urgency, multitasking ability, and ability to work in a high‑input environment.
Experience and participation in disaster‑recovery exercises.
Experience supporting different technologies and platforms (Windows, Linux, Cloud, REST services, Web services, MQs, Kafka, etc.).
Experience with automation improvements (scripting, DevOps).
Technical knowledge in supporting Java, .Net, Unix Shell script, and data‑warehouse based applications.
Knowledge of automation/monitoring tools such as Ansible, Selenium, MoogSoft, Thousandeye, Prometheus, etc.
Hands‑on UNIX and scripting knowledge (Python, shell).
Working knowledge of SQL databases and basic network configuration.
Experience with batch monitoring and job scheduling tools (ESP, Autosys, Control M).
Experience with monitoring tools (AppD, Splunk, MoogSoft).
Willingness to work in shifts and weekends on a rotational basis.

Compensation The base salary for this position is expected to be between $68,000 and $179,000 per year at the commencement of employment. Compensation will be determined on an individualized basis, including experience, market location, and may include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, and incentive packages.
