Security Guard - Armed Patrol Government Site
in
Atlanta, GA , you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Government, and more. You will help deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment at a government location. You will regularly patrol assigned areas, remain visible, and respond to various situations while providing outstanding customer service and communication. This armed post plays a key role in helping to maintain order and handling access control responsibilities.
What You’ll Do
Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment at the location. Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and perimeter to deter unauthorized activities and maintain order, in alignment with the requirements for an armed patrol post. Monitor for and report any suspicious behavior or irregularities observed during patrols to Allied Universal and/or site management. Support access control by observing entrances and exits, verifying credentials as needed, and helping to manage visitor procedures. Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal guidelines. Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when incidents arise, following established protocols.
Minimum Requirements
3 years or more of prior law enforcement, military or adult corrections experience or a complete bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice is required. Customer service experience is preferred. Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
