Site Civil Engineer .

Your work environment at EXP In this role, you will be a part of the Site Civil team with consideration for hybrid work arrangements. The professional will focus on Site Civil/Land Development projects supporting the Buildings, Telecommunications, and Mission Critical practices nationally.Project types and clients will vary with opportunities to be involved in projects across the United States. The Senior Site Civil Engineer will be expected to take on a leadership role within the team to provide engineering and design services to clients and will coordinate with engineers, project managers, clients and other disciplines to deliver on schedule and on budget projects, train and mentor junior staff as well as manage workload for the team, and lead engineering and production team through the planning and design of civil engineering projects.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

Prepare and oversee engineering analysis, design, and calculations for all aspects of site civil work including but not limited to site access, grading, drainage, utility networks, and erosion control.

Coordinate with clients, government agencies, and other project design leaders across multiple time zones.

Generate and oversee detailed reports to demonstrate compliance with local design guidelines.

Lead project teams from initial planning until completion, while looking to obtain future business and performing own project duties

Engage, mentor, and motivate junior staff through counsel, goal setting guidance, knowledge transfer and goal setting

Plan, schedule and coordinate the preparation of documents or activities for multiple simultaneous projects across multiple states

Provide quality oversight and reviews of design and calculations performed by staff.

Serve as the lead on significant or complex projects

Assist in developing processes and provide input on achieving company and office operational excellence while growing a practice

Review project changes, pending or anticipated alterations to the contract, additional work requests, and all other factors, which may significantly affect staffing requirements or budget

Travel as needed to support projects and business development efforts.

Provide technical assistance in the resolution of design problems including field investigation or inspections, detailed design work, detailed review of design computations done by others and general coordination of design aspects

Act as a technical specialist for the organization in the application of advanced concepts, principles, and methods in an assigned area

Represent the organization in the community and appropriate professional societies.

The Skills and Knowledge You Bring

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

Minimum of eight (8) years experience withland development projects (retail, industrial, data centers, multifamily, residential subdivisions, etc. ).

Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of residence.

Must have demonstrated technical experience with a wide range of civil projects and experience serving clients.

A proven track record of innovation, leadership, and creativity.

Experience in leading projects through entitlement processes including rezoning and planned unit developments.

Ability to quickly understand new municipal codes and regulations for projects in new jurisdictions.

Thorough understanding of business and financial principles in a consulting business.

Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to lead and develop an engineering and project management team.

Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D design software.

Proficiency with SWMM, ICPR, HEC, or similar modeling softwares.

Proficient technical and computer skills, to include successfully conducting virtual meetings with staff and/or clients.

The salary range for this role is $110,000 to $150,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's skill set, experience, certifications, and geographic location. Compensation may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor.
