Our Court Data Access team is focused on expanding access to critical court documents and judicial data across the United States. We believe that public access to legal information drives transparency, better outcomes, and improved trust in the legal system.
About The Role We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Court Access Account Executive to join our team. This role is focused on cultivating relationships with county-level courts and judicial administrators across the U.S. to enable access to public court records. Think of this role as a strategic sales function in a public‑sector setting, where success depends on trust‑building, advocacy, and stakeholder alignment rather than traditional transactional sales. You will play an important role in expanding the court data coverage offered by LexisNexis products, including its legal research platform and Lex Machina, the LexisNexis Legal Analytics platform. As a Court Access Account Executive, you will identify and secure partnerships with local court systems. You will collaborate cross‑functionally across legal, content, technology, and government affairs teams to deliver value both to the courts and our organization.
Responsibilities
Lead outreach and engagement within key court decision‑makers including court executive teams, judges, and IT staff.
Build and maintain a pipeline of courts systems open to partnership on data and document access.
Develop and execute regional and national strategies to drive court participation via events, roundtables, and direct outreach.
Educate court officials on the mutual benefits of data‑sharing relationships with LexisNexis Legal & Professional.
Track engagement metrics and contribute to internal reporting on court acquisition progress.
Partner with public sector to understand how our products fit into their workflows, data needs, and internal goals including policy considerations.
Communicate legal analytics product fundamentals to build trust with courts regarding how state court content will be used to further public access and provide useful metrics to the legal community.
Requirements
Proven success in business development, public affairs, government relations, or enterprise sales (ideally with the public sector).
Strong consultative selling skills with an ability to engage diverse stakeholders with diplomacy, credibility, and persistence.
Technology savvy with interest in deep knowledge of how legal tech products work.
Ability to travel regularly within the U.S. to attend court meetings, conferences, and stakeholder events.
Highly self‑motivated, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple long‑cycle engagement processes.
