Our NICU is a 40‑bed Level III nursery specializing in care for newborns, including the tiniest premature babies and critically ill neonatal infants with congenital heart disease, pulmonary hypertension, metabolic disorders and other congenital defects.

Interventions include ECMO, CVVH, peritoneal dialysis and therapeutic hypothermia. Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse II is an RN who practices as a full partner on the health‑care team and consistently demonstrates safe practice within the organizational professional practice model.

The Clinical Nurse II independently provides patient care through the nursing process and accepts accountability for the nursing care of assigned patients ranging in age from infancy to adulthood. Essential Functions

Performs all functions of Clinical Nurse I. Manages more complex patient‑care assignments appropriate to skill level. Participates in building consensus and resolving conflict in patient care. Advances patient and family‑centered care, evidence‑based practice, safety, continuous quality improvement, teamwork, technology/informatics, professionalism, and leadership. Qualifications – Minimum

Graduate from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred). Minimum 1.5 years of recent neonatal nursing experience in a Level III NICU. License / Certification

Basic Life Support by AHA. NRP Provider Card by AAP. Temporary Registered Nurse License by California Board of Registered Nursing or Registered Nurse by California Board of Registered Nursing. Knowledge

Proficient in the operation of clinical equipment, computers, and technology within the nurse’s practice setting. Judicious use of materials and supplies; prevention of damage or misuse. Guidance, assistance, and direction of unlicensed assistive personnel as defined by the California Nurse Practice Act. Physical Requirements

Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role.

Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid‑salary range.
