Job Overview Under the guidance of the Hotel Manager, the Pool and Beach General Manager is responsible for the overall pool and beach operations, ambiance, and service excellence of Delano’s iconic pool and beach experience. The role crafts an environment that embodies sophistication, relaxation, and intuitive hospitality, ensuring every guest reflects Delano standards.
Key Responsibilities
Curate and oversee all aspects of the pool and beach guest journey, ensuring Forbes Five‑Star level standards.
Anticipate guests’ needs with discretion and grace, fostering an atmosphere of effortlessness.
Ensure guest safety and compliance with pool and beach rules, addressing any hazards or incidents promptly.
Partner with culinary, beverage, and events teams to deliver seamless poolside dining, activations, and special experiences.
Oversee daily operations of all pool and beach areas, including cabanas, daybeds, towel service, and guest reservations.
Manage inventory and revenue controls, optimizing profitability while maintaining an elevated guest experience.
Liaise closely with Engineering, Security, and Housekeeping to uphold physical presentation and safety of the space.
Recruit, train, and mentor pool and beach staff by leading, inspiring, and developing a high‑performing team that embodies the Delano spirit.
Collaborate with People & Culture on recognition programs, team engagement, and performance development.
Drive revenue through strategic planning, pricing, and guest experience enhancements.
Prepare and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and labor planning.
Identify opportunities for partnerships, events, and programming aligned with the Delano brand.
Provide lateral service as required, performing related tasks in the spirit of exceptional guest service.
