Summary The Radiology Technologist performs quality diagnostic imaging exams and provides patient care in accordance with departmental standards. This role may include work at both the main hospital and off-site clinic locations. Occasional travel may be required to support regional clinic x-ray services.

Key Responsibilities Perform routine imaging examinations in Diagnostic Radiology on a scheduled and emergency basis, following departmental quality control and data integrity standards. Demonstrate growing knowledge of radiographic techniques and positioning; operate all radiology equipment safely and accurately. Prepare exam rooms and equipment according to the procedure ordered. Complete patient screenings with attention to pregnancy status, contrast use, and potential contraindications. Understand and utilize appropriate forms for contrast studies. Communicate effectively using designated communication tools and respond promptly to requests or alerts. Demonstrate awareness of emergency equipment and supplies, maintaining readiness for urgent situations. Report any concerns related to patient care, safety, or satisfaction to supervisors or leadership promptly. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Education Associate’s degree (or equivalent) from a two-year college, technical school, or nursing diploma program.

Required Work Experience No prior experience required (training provided).

Required Certifications American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT R):

Must be obtained within 12 months of hire or upon eligibility. Radiologic Technologist License (RTL):

Issued by the Arkansas Department of Health.
