Main Responsibilities The Channel Manager is responsible for driving market level sales activities and channel-specific programs in conjunction with distributor/broker activities to achieve predetermined brand, volume, and KPI objectives. They manage and oversee all local activities to ensure that the Division Commercial team and Distributor/broker efforts are focused on appropriate accounts and territories to achieve WG&S long-term objectives. Our Ideal Candidate Our ideal candidate is a strong relationship builder. They develop relationships with distributor partners and other key members of the trade. They have analytical skills to evaluate and report on market results and provide recommendations to the Distributor Manager on needed market actions to align with objective plan achievement. They also provide educational trainings as needed with partnership of WG&S brand ambassadors and manage distributor teams to leverage and ensure flawless execution of all promotion activity in the market. They manage their budget to ensure promotion monies are effectively spent and maximize value creation. Additional Required Skills And Qualifications Strong understanding of the alcohol beverage and spirits industry, with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience; experience on the supplier side and in both on and off premise channels is highly valued. Proven track record of developing working relationships and a strong business acumen. Understanding of financial budgeting. Excellent communication and influencing skills. Effective problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to manage difficult, complex markets and achieve business objectives. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills including data analysis. Ability to travel extensively, occasionally requiring air travel. Must have a valid driver’s license. Bachelor’s Degree is strongly preferred.
