Divisional Overview The Corporate Planning & Management (CPM) Division unifies Finance & Planning, Spend Management, Operational Risk and Resilience, and CPM Engineering teams to deliver business planning and analytics, expense management, third party risk management, and governance strategies across the firm.

Professionals in CPM have an analytical mindset, exhibit intellectual curiosity and are from diverse academic backgrounds. The Integrated Travel & Expense (IT&E) team, under the Spend Management pillar, oversees the firm's global travel program, ensuring cost-effectiveness, compliance with policies, and a positive travel experience for employees.

Role Overview The Associate on the Infrastructure team within IT&E will be responsible for the firm's travel and expense platforms, with a primary focus on Concur from SAP and associated linked systems. This role involves owning the optimization of the infrastructure supporting the business process and strategy, researching and implementing new technologies, and acting as a design expert for the Concur system. The candidate should have hands‑on experience with Concur infrastructure, including configurations and debugging, to ensure seamless user experience and operating efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

Become the Subject Matter Expert for our Travel and Expense platforms: SAP Concur and associated linked systems, including configurations and debugging

Own the optimization of the associated infrastructure supporting the business process & strategy

Research, benchmark, and implement new disruptive technologies that enable a seamless user experience or achieve operating efficiencies

Manage Travel & Expense reporting deliverables focusing on Operations, Risk & Commercials

Act as design expert for the Concur system and other travel technologies, in collaboration with business SMEs, SAP team, corporate card provider, and travel management company

Lead and drive the wider infrastructure priorities, standards, and strategy globally, using the Agile process

Build strong business relationships with firmwide senior stakeholders to understand potential impacts on Concur system based on divisional businesses and initiatives, including potential internal and external integrations

Drive the implementation of new systems or functionality (internal or external) and the change management process globally to avoid disruption in current program procedures

Liaise with Engineering leadership and developers in communicating business requirements, data migration, testing, and deployment of new infrastructure capabilities.

Drive projects for continuous process improvement and bring innovation into the team. Lead initiatives against defined business case, covering adoption, results, and progress

Own the configuration, administration, and release management for all tools within the scope of the Concur Infrastructure team

Define, analyze, design, and document business requirements, offer simplifications to requirements, and manage changes made to requirements

Oversee End User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles to be managed by the team, including creating manual test scripts and managing the testing population results and queries

Work with Concur Reporting Team, Spend Management Engineering, and Travel and Expense operational teams to develop scorecards & KPIs to monitor & track SLAs and manage vendor relationships, to ensure adequate performance & stability

Guide, mentor, and partner with the wider team on the day‑to‑day technical queries related to system logic and perform defect/data analysis as well as support specific audits, internal and external

Communicate progress and decision points for projects to relevant functions and maintain key documentation of approvals where required

Skills and Experience Basic Qualifications

Proven change management skills in a global organization delivering both organizational and technical system changes

Hands‑on experience with SAP Concur, including familiarity with new configurations, setup, and remediating issues related to workflows or current audit rule configurations

Ability to lead all aspects of implementation from mobilization to deployment and support

Provide technical and functional expertise to clients throughout the project lifecycle for T&E solutions

Ability to manage global team, develop, mentor, and direct team and broader support

Excellent senior stakeholder management skills. Engage internal clients in business requirement discussions versus feature/function basics

Technical and operational problem‑solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of work experience within Travel and Expense, or a similar functional area

Proficient in using BI tools (Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI)

Proven influencing skills across levels and geographies

Partner with internal clients, implementation partner, and technology provider resources to effectively create, manage, and monitor project plan, budget, timeline, milestones, and deliverables

Ability to deal with ambiguity and motivate others through periods of uncertainty
