Citrix and Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer
Location: Austin, TX (4-5 days onsite required) Duration: 12-18 months
We are seeking an experienced
Citrix Engineer
to help set up and configure
Citrix with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) . The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with Citrix infrastructure, Azure integration, and core Windows Server and networking fundamentals.
Qualifications:
6+ years overall IT experience, with at least 2+ years hands‑on with Citrix or Azure Virtual Desktop
Proven experience setting up or managingCitrix Virtual Apps and Desktops(on‑prem or cloud).
Experience deploying or managing Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
Strong understanding ofWindows Server administration.
Working knowledge ofnetwork fundamentals— routing, firewall rules, VPNs, DNS, etc.
Experience withCitrix Cloudpreferred.
Ability to work independently and deliver within project timelines.
Preferred Certifications:
Citrix Certified Associate – Virtualization (CCA–V)or higher
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty (AZ-140)
Key Responsibilities:
Deploy, configure, and testCitrix Virtual Apps and Desktopsin anAzure Virtual Desktopenvironment.
Set up and manageCitrix Cloudconnectors and integration with Azure resources.
Configurenetworking components, including firewall rules, subnets, and VPNs, to support secure connectivity.
Work withWindows Server(Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, file shares, etc.).
Troubleshoot user access, session performance, and connectivity issues.
Collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth implementation and handoff.
