Join CACI International Inc as a Senior Business Analyst and support the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Land Border Integration (LBI) Integrated Traveler Initiative ITI2.1 program in Northern Virginia. The role requires a strong background in Agile methodology, business analysis, and software development.
Overview
As a member of the ITI2.1 Team, you will help safeguard the American people by supporting CBP officers, Border Patrol agents, and DHS partners. Your work will involve evaluating business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and translating solution concepts into actionable requirements. Responsibilities Serve as a Portfolio Business/Systems Analyst in an Agile/Scrum environment implementing custom software applications. Lead the capture, analysis, and management of functional and non?functional system requirements and user stories. Decompose mission/business objectives into requirements within a product backlog for iterative development cycles. Meet regularly with stakeholders to identify business needs and communicate those needs to development teams through user stories and acceptance criteria. Collaborate with the Scrum Master to establish release/sprint backlogs, resolve impediments, and guide scope decisions. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer requirements are met during the development lifecycle. Develop product and portfolio roadmaps, review deliverables, and provide guidance on scope evaluation. Lead stakeholder demonstrations and report on software iteration outcomes. Participate in backlog refinement, roadmap planning, release planning, sprint planning, and sprint review activities. Manage portfolio business cases, forecast requirements, and define procedural standards for analyst tasks. Recommend process improvements and deliver related documentation.
Qualifications
U.S. citizen with the ability to pass a CBP background investigation (3?year felony check, 1?year drug use check, 1?year misconduct check). 7+ years of related experience. College degree (B.S.) in Information Management Systems or a related discipline (experience may be considered in lieu of a degree). Hybrid work schedule with onsite requirement in Sterling, VA.
Strong Skills
Developing business processes, capability needs, and business information models. Translating business requirements into user stories, use cases, and technical specifications. Experience with functional decomposition of large business needs and stakeholder interviews. Knowledge of the software development life cycle, planning, requirements management, configuration management, quality assurance, and release management. Experience with estimation techniques and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Project, Visio).
Nice to Have
Prior experience working with CBP systems. Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and related certifications. Software development background. Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certified Product Owner (CPO). Knowledge of BABOK and experience managing projects using Jira. Independent problem?solving skills.
