We're seeking an upbeat, professional, and reliable Dental Assistant to join our multi-specialty dental team in Hiram, GA!

A Smile 4U is a privately owned dental practice with locations in Cartersville, Decatur, East Point, Dalton, and Hiram. We offer a wide range of specialties under one roof-including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery-using advanced, state-of-the-art equipment and scheduling technology. We proudly serve both pediatric and adult patients, and we're committed to creating a welcoming environment and delivering an outstanding, memorable experience for every patient.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Certified as a Dental Assistant
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
  • Explain office procedures to patients prior to treatment
  • Provide quality, compassionate care before, during, and after dental procedures
  • Ensure patient comfort throughout treatment
  • Accurately chart dental conditions and record progress notes
  • Deliver post-operative instructions following treatment or surgery
  • Take dental impressions for study models
  • Prepare, maintain, and sterilize instruments, supplies, and equipment
  • Take and develop dental x-rays; collect and record patient health histories
  • Serve as infection control officer: maintain sterilization logs and ensure protocol compliance
  • Monitor and document repairs for operatory and handpiece equipment
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks (e.g., autoclave testing, trap cleaning)
  • Assist with ordering and inventory of dental supplies
  • Support recall and treatment plan reports as needed
  • Adhere to all government, OSHA, and company regulations
  • Provide direct patient care across multiple specialties, including pediatric dentistry and oral surgery
Qualifications
  • Previous dental assisting experience required
  • Excellent chairside manner and strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to various procedures and techniques
  • Team-oriented with a positive, "can-do" attitude
  • Professional, dependable, and eager to grow
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus!
Compensation
  • Pay is based on experience
Schedule
  • Full-Time: Monday - Friday, 7:45 AM - 5:00 PM
  • 4 days per week
