The Echocardiography Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality echocardiographic exams and related diagnostic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac conditions. This role requires clinical expertise in cardiac ultrasound, patient care, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) and, when applicable, stress and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE).

Operate ultrasound and related diagnostic equipment to produce high-quality images and recordings of the heart and cardiovascular system.

Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.

Analyze images for technical quality and ensure all required views and measurements are captured.

Collaborate with cardiologists to review and present findings for interpretation.

Document and enter accurate patient and procedure information into electronic medical records (EMR).

Maintain equipment, ensure proper calibration, and report any issues for repair or maintenance.

Follow safety protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA).

Provide patient education related to procedures and answer questions to ensure understanding.

Participate in continuing education to maintain certification and keep up-to-date with advancements in echocardiography.
