Job Description
One of the world's largest DoD and Intel contracting companies is seeking a System Administrator to support the Cyber and Compliance Teams to maintain company security standards and DFARS requirements, which includes assessments, implementation steps, and ensuring the integrity of the security authorization package. The candidate will utilize knowledge of System & Service integration to authentication protocols, patch management, network segregation, and vulnerability management. They will work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment and develop troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical and environmental issues within Engineering and Factory spaces. We are seeking a technical resource with a background in security controls and compliance to help complete a proactive security assessment of systems. These individuals will be engaging with active sites with Linux and Windows servers to ensure compliance and security standards are up to par. They should have an in‑depth understanding of NIST and experience implementing NIST, RMF, and other security protocols. Responsibilities include implementing and remediating password policies, administering patch management, and troubleshooting user access and privileged accounts. Systems are operational 24x7 and may require work beyond standard hours. Must be onsite 5 days a week
at: El Segundo, CA. Minimal travel may be required once every few months to major sites. Compensation:
$55/hr to $70/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. 6+ years System Administrator with both Windows and Linux servers Experience implementing security controls within a DoD space (e.g., NIST, DFARS, RMF) Active Directory Management experience: managing and troubleshooting GPOs, DNS, TCP/IP, and DHCP Experience tuning and troubleshooting system performance Solid knowledge of LDAP, DNS and networking Experience with VMware/VDI/esx Previous experience working in the defense space Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Ruby, bash, etc.) Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development Experience with Microsoft WSUS, SCCM, and/or Exchange Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Ansible configuration management skills Terraform or CloudFormation Kubernetes for containerization Networking concepts (TCP, firewalls, traffic flows) CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an OS Certification
