Our team has an opening for an experienced senior level sales support/customer service representative for our B2B division. A minimum of 5 years' experience working in a food manufacturing facility is a must to qualify. The position requires be detail oriented, a team player, self-starter, and able to work with little supervision. This is an on-site position at our Chicago, IL location. Responsibilities
Processing new orders for retail, food service, and contract manufacturing customers by phone, email, EDI, and customer portals Navigating customer portals for new orders, processing ASNs, shipping communications, and item/pricing set-up Building sustainable relationships with customer accounts through phone, on-line, EDI, portal, and interactive communication, meeting customer needs based on our capabilities, guidelines, and targeted growth Responding to customer inquiries on order guidelines Responding to consumer complaints and filter to appropriate personnel whether marketing, sales or quality response is needed Addressing customer complaints and process credit memos Tracking delivery/shipping through an OTIF process (on-time, in full) managing to a weekly target. Understanding organizational objectives and makes decisions that align with the company growth and financial targets Monitoring inventory to order status Creating, documenting, and maintaining procedures - Including vendor portal instructions, shipping instructions, customer expected pricing (CEP) Preparing quotes for new and existing customers using customer price sheets and monitor/track via sales reporting, EDI, and BOL (bill of lading) Preparing new vendor documentation and new item specification data sheets Creating sales tools and documents to monitor customer purchasing history Qualifications
4-5 years of sales support including customer service experience Minimum of 5 years working within the food manufacturing industry Must be proficient with Microsoft Office. Excel a must. History of managing account portals/websites and portal entries EDI experience required ERP experience required Ability to work on a team and independently, with little supervision Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively is part of the company's success.
