Overview
Tesla's Facilities Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) team is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead teams through design development, scoping, estimating, execution, integration, commissioning, and close out of I&C projects, turnarounds, expansions, and retrofits.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Instrumentation & Controls Project Management with experience managing HVAC and Process Controls tasks in an Owner/Operator environment.
In this role you will be responsible for design coordination, procurement coordination, arranging new contracts, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, setup and execution of projects in addition to supporting the Commissioning and Facilities Operations teams to ensure deliverables are met. This role requires expertise in HVAC and Process Controls, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to effectively support multiple teams. A technical background in BMS or SCADA systems is required. This role has a travel expectancy of 10%-20%.
What You\'ll Do
Lead full lifecycle delivery of facilities Instrumentation & Controls programs (design, construction, retrofits, capital upgrades, infrastructure expansion, and energy efficiency improvements)
Maintain strong integration & communication with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure lessons learned are integrated into current and future facilities
Manage communications regarding schedule, budget, and progress updates with key stake holders
Establish and develop technical documents, pertaining to basis of design, scope, budget, schedule, and execution strategy for assigned scope
Establish a risk tracking process and drive the team and stakeholders to action risks to acceptable levels
Support the Operations and Commissioning team in managing various tools such as completions management software, Management of Change, work requests and others
What You\'ll Bring
Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering, or the equivalent in experience
Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management with technical background in I&C, commissioning, or Facilities operations in R&D, Industrial or Manufacturing environments
Proficient in the use of computers and business software, including Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Project), Primavera P6, Bluebeam, AutoCAD Cloud, BMS Systems, SCADA Systems
Excellent communication and documentation skills with ability to understand complex problems and distill the message into a clear plan
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound judgments under pressure with a willingness to adapt and lean out existing practices
Strong background in all aspects of project management including, scheduling, budgeting, issuing request for quotations, drafting Scope of Works, procuring various contracts and onboarding contractors

Expected Compensation $100,000 - $186,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
