Delivering Innovation in Supportive Housing (DISH) is looking for a Fund Development Manager. This position reports to the Director of Fund Development. The Fund Development Manager is an exempt position. POSITION SUMMARY:

The Fund Development Manager is a new role at DISH to be part of our growing Fund Development Team. The position supports the implementation of our annual fundraising plan and includes leading our work in donor data management, volunteer projects and supporting Community Building efforts as needed. The position will assist the Fund Development department in executing fundraising campaigns and events. This is a great role for someone data-driven who’s looking to impact one of our most pressing social justice issues in San Francisco and inspire others to join in. The Fund Development Manager (DM) plays a vital role in the success of fundraising and development efforts. This position ensures seamless operations across donor platforms, donation processing, stewardship, events support, database management, and grant coordination. The DM collaborates closely with the Director of Fund Development (DD) and Marketing Communications Coordinator (MC) to implement best practices in donor engagement and to support fundraising goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Receive and record all donations, ensuring proper documentation, accurate data entry, and record keeping in Salesforce CRM and GoFundMe/Classy online donations platform. In collaboration with accounting team, monitor and reconcile all donations and in-kind gifts received; provide support and documentation regarding donations. Manage and update external donation platforms, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Secure and store all donor-related documentation; maintain compliance with legal and ethical fundraising practices. Conduct regular database maintenance (dupes, NCOA, deceased updates, etc.). Donor Stewardship & Communication

Record stewardship activity in Salesforce CRM. Assign and track stewardship actions, ensuring accuracy and accountability across the team. Prepare, update, and mail donor acknowledgments. Collaborate on the execution, distribution, and reporting of donor appeals and annual report. Support staff and board members on donor engagement and stewardship projects. Reporting & Prospect Research

Conduct individual, foundation, and corporate prospect research. Build, design, and run dashboards, reports, and lists for stewardship efforts. Assist with analysis of donor trends and campaign results. Grants Management

Maintain calendar of grant deadlines and reporting dates. Maintain a central catalog of common grant application documents and proposal language. Coordinate submission of grant proposals and reports. Work with program staff and MC to gather accurate data and approved visuals. Special Event Support

Support DD and MC on the planning and execution of events, including annual BASH fundraiser. Maintain event platforms (e.g., GoFundMe/Classy). Manage event reporting. Oversee accurate receipting and post-event donor stewardship. Record all event-related actions in Salesforce. Education and Experience

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university preferred, or equivalent fundraising operations and database management experience. Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor\u2019s degree in communications, business, or related field preferred. 2-3+ years of experience in development, fundraising, or nonprofit operations. Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM/database platform. Familiarity with other fundraising platforms (GoFundMe/Classy, Constant Contact, etc.). Understanding of donor segmentation, cultivation, and stewardship. Knowledge of charitable gift processing and IRS regulations regarding donations. Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities. Exceptional attention to detail, especially in data management and donor records. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Professional telephone manner, ability to interact with donors and others in a comfortable and professional manner. Commitment to the mission and values of DISH and enthusiasm for working collaboratively as a team member. Cultural competency working with a mixed and dynamic workforce. Strong sense of initiative/self-starter. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive materials professionally and according to agency policy. Work Environment

This is a hybrid position requiring at least 3 days a week in office, with occasional attendance at fundraising events, board meetings, or donor tours. Some evening and weekend hours required, particularly for major events or campaigns. Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to perform moderately difficult manipulative tasks such as typing, writing, etc. Must be able to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Employee must have the ability to attend meetings, sit, listen, and use computer keyboard and mouse up to 7.5 hours per day. Frequently required to use a computer, phone, copier, and fax machine. Compensation

This is a non-exempt position starting as soon as possible. The salary range is $75,000 - $90,000 per year, dependent upon experience. Compensation includes a full benefits package, including medical, vision, dental, vacation, paid holidays, sick leave, and a retirement plan. Equal Employment Opportunity
