Overview
Are you a high-energy sales professional with a hospitality mindset and a passion for live arts and entertainment? The AT&T Performing Arts Center is seeking a Group Sales Manager to lead group ticketing efforts across our world-class venues and partner organizations—including Dallas Theater Center, Bruce Wood Dance Dallas, Texas Ballet Theater, and TITAS/DANCE UNBOUND.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in hotel, tourism, sports, or event sales, who thrives on building relationships, closing deals, and creating unforgettable group experiences. You’ll be the driving force behind group revenue growth, working with corporations, residential communities, colleges, travel planners, and affinity groups to fill our theaters and elevate our collective brands.
This position requires a detail-oriented, highly organized team player with excellent interpersonal skills who works seamlessly and efficiently with the Center, partner staff, and stakeholders. Essential skills include the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Must be a self-starter and work autonomously using independent judgment. A positive attitude towards the position and the Center’s Core Values is imperative.
Responsibilities Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth
Develop and execute a high-impact group sales strategy to meet and exceed revenue goals
Prospect and convert leads from the corporate, residential, hospitality, education, and tourism sectors
Own the full sales cycle: lead generation, pitch, negotiation, closing, and post-sale follow-up
Create customized group packages that drive urgency and value
Maintain a strong focus on key target markets, including colleges, corporations, tour operators, HOAs, tenant associations, churches, and senior citizen groups
Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain long-term relationships with group leaders, event coordinators, hotel concierge networks, and key decision-makers to foster repeat business
Provide tailored packages and offerings that meet the specific needs of each group, including special pricing, group seating arrangements, travel, hospitality, and behind-the-scenes experiences
Serve as the primary point of contact for all group-related inquiries, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and service
Collaboration & Coordination
Work closely with the Marketing and Box Office teams of each partner organization to promote group sales opportunities and ensure proper ticketing and seating arrangements
Coordinate with the Events and Production teams to ensure seamless execution of group events, including VIP services, special requests, and hospitality offerings
Collaborate with third-party partners to create holistic experiences for client, including food and beverage, parking, and transportation
Collaborate with the marketing departments to create promotional materials and campaigns targeting specific group segments
Performance Tracking & Optimization
Monitor sales performance and pipeline activity using CRM tools
Analyze trends, customer feedback, and conversion data to refine strategy
Provide regular reporting to leadership on KPIs, forecasts, and growth opportunities
Event Management
Assist in organizing and hosting special events for group clients, such as pre-show receptions, backstage tours, and talent meet and greets
Ensure all logistical details for group events are executed smoothly, including transportation, catering, and other services
Requirements Ideal Candidate Profile:
Proven success in sales—ideally in hotel, tourism, entertainment, sports, or event industries
3–5 years of experience in group sales, B2B sales, or client services
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered
Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Self-starter with a proactive, results-focused mindset and a passion for building lasting client relationships
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms (Tessitura experience a plus)
Enthusiasm for the performing arts and live entertainment, including a basic understanding of music, theater and dance, is preferred
Work Environment & Schedule
Fast-paced, client-facing role with some evening and weekend event hours
On-site presence required for performances, client meetings, and activations
This is not a remote position
