Job Title: Senior Digital Analyst – Product Analytics/BSA
Placement type: Contract
Duration: Long term contract
Location: In-office Monday–Thursday; Friday work from home. 100 North Point, San Francisco, CA 94133 or 55 Water Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201.
Project Description: As a Senior Digital Analyst – Web Analytics, you will support analytics reporting and analysis efforts cross-brand to enhance online customer experiences and connect offsite marketing efforts to onsite behavior. The team aims to go beyond traditional analytics reporting to provide actionable insights and facilitate change to drive business outcomes. This role is strictly focused on web experience, analyzing the customer journey from start to finish, including optimizing marketing, technology roadmap, site functions, friction points, and driving conversions. While this candidate will support one brand specifically, they’ll work across multiple websites/domains and support areas such as brand monitoring, merchandising, inventory teams, and A/B testing for brands. Strong communication & presentation skills are imperative, as this person will present analytics findings to high-level stakeholders, including VPs, SVPs, and the CEO.
Responsibilities / Duties
Produce Weekly Performance Reports: Generate KPI dashboards, product reviews, and other performance reports with business context and actionable insights for business leads.
Respond to Ad-Hoc Analysis Requests: Provide timely and accurate reports and analyses as requested by brand leads, merchants, and other Marketing teams.
Proactively Develop Reports: Conduct ongoing site performance analysis, including segmentation analysis, and offer actionable insights with clear business context, not just raw data.
Collaborate on Testing and Personalization: Work with the eCommerce VP and brand partners to identify opportunities for testing and personalization; drive consensus and buy-in from key stakeholders.
Lead A/B and MVT Testing: Plan, execute, and analyze A/B and multivariate tests on the site in partnership with brand site managers and developers; utilize testing tools and vendor support to optimize site performance.
Analyze Marketing Programs: Conduct deep-dive analysis of marketing programs (e.g., email, paid search, SEO, banner ads, affiliates) using data from vendor reporting tools, WSI’s web analytics, and legacy systems.
Develop Advanced Analytics Reports: Use SQL and analytics tools to pull data from the Customer Data Warehouse (CDW) and create customized reports addressing complex business questions.
Ensure Data Quality: Collaborate with IT and site managers to review and test analytics tool tagging for new features and changes to maintain high-quality data.
Collaborate Across Teams: Build relationships with eCommerce management, eMarketing, and IT teams to turn insights into actionable improvements on the site.
Top Requirements (Must haves)
2-4 years of experience in e-commerce analytics with a proven track record of driving site optimization and performance analysis.
B2C retail ecommerce analytics experience preferred. Open to candidates from SaaS or other similar ecommerce environments.
2 years of hands-on experience using web analytics platforms, with strong preference for Adobe Analytics or Customer Journey Analytics.
Experience with other BI/analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Salesforce Data & Marketing Cloud) will be considered if candidates can clearly articulate their analysis.
Proficiency in web analytics tools and domain-specific software to extract, interpret, and leverage data for business decisions.
Advanced Excel skills, including complex data manipulation, pivot tables, and charting for reporting and analysis.
Strong business acumen with understanding of e-commerce dynamics, user behavior, and conversion optimization strategies. Familiarity with the B2C Retail industry is desirable.
Proven ability to present analytics data clearly to business leaders at the Manager/Director level, translating technical data into actionable business insights.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Curious mindset with a problem-solving approach, using data to identify opportunities for continuous site and conversion optimization.
Ability to lead A/B and multivariate test analysis and influence site performance and conversion strategies.
Collaborative team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex analytical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to challenge assumptions and provide data-driven recommendations that impact customer experience and conversion rates.
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
Additional Qualifications
Advanced analytics related to forecasting or modeling impacts are a plus
Experimentation experience is a plus; A/B testing is not a hard requirement and can be learned while ramping, but is beneficial as this analyst will be the core A/B testing analyst for the team.
