What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Cultivate and maintain productive relationships with key state Department of Education officials
Drive the full sales cycle for state-level opportunities, including planning, presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations
Develop and execute a comprehensive territory plan aligned with strategic goals and state-specific needs
Facilitate cross-functional teams to align internal deliverables with customer expectations
Maintain accurate records in the CRM and provide market feedback and forecasts
What is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree in Education, Policy, or related field preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in state-level education agencies, sales, policy, or leadership roles
Deep comprehension of state education policy, funding mechanisms, and government operations
Demonstrated success in navigating complex sales cycles and securing education-related contracts at the state level
Proficiency with Salesforce, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and virtual collaboration tools
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience presenting at state and national conferences and partner events
Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
Confidence and ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment
Familiarity with research-based literacy solutions
