Electrical Project Engineer - Underground Transmission Black & Veatch Corporation (BV) is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to lead underground transmission line projects. The role will coordinate design, scheduling, and client interfaces for high‑voltage substation and transmission work.

Key Responsibilities:

Function as a technical lead engineer on underground transmission line projects.

Perform underground transmission line design, ideally with experience in trenchless installation methods.

Participate in project scheduling, resource planning, and meetings.

Interface directly with clients, vendors, and subcontractors and provide QA/QC oversight.

Mentor junior engineers, review engineering work, and support continuous improvement processes.

Prepare engineering deliverables, calculations, and budget/schedule management.

Coordinate with other internal/external team members on moderately complex projects.

Assist in business development activities and support pursuit work.

Preferred Qualifications:

High‑voltage substation design experience (Physical and/or Protection & Control).

Project lead and technical specialist experience with utility substation clients.

QA/QC review experience.

Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office.

Experience with trenchless installation methods.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program.

Minimum 5 years related work experience.

Must have a Professional Engineer (PE) license or be able to obtain one.

Relocation eligible. No visa sponsorship. Hybrid work options available after 90 days.
