Position Summary

Senior Project Buyer – Supply Chain team at Royal Caribbean Group. The role focuses on sourcing, analyzing, negotiating and contracting goods and services for newbuild, dry‑dock, in‑service and operational maintenance projects. The Buyer works within the Newbuild Procurement team to contract outfitting and special features, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in line with procurement guidelines and strategies.

Key responsibilities include: Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Procure goods and services for assigned projects such as newbuilds, dry docks, in‑service projects and operational maintenance. Implement a procurement and negotiation strategy based on variables such as price, quality, availability, warranty, project terms and conditions. Perform moderate to complex price analysis while considering total project cost, timing and customer needs. Prepare, negotiate and execute supplier agreements that meet business requirements. Serve as single point of contact for internal customers, ensuring products or services are delivered as needed to support successful project completion. Lead timely resolution of escalated supplier issues. Maintain commercial interface with suppliers. Provide guidance to internal customers during budget preparation, including product and service pricing. Remain aware of compliance requirements of regulatory agencies (DNV, IMO, SOLAS, USPH, US Coast Guard, etc.). Work independently and prioritize tasks based on project schedules. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent work experience. Emphasis in project management preferred. 5–7 years of experience in procurement, technical, engineering, commercial or project environment. Accreditation from a supply chain industry organization (e.g., CPSM, CPIM). Experience with multiple systems/tools such as JDE, databases, Microsoft Office, MS Project. Strong commercial awareness and negotiating skills. Strong organizational and planning skills. Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and multiple internal customers. Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication in a multicultural environment with all levels of internal and external customers. Ability to bring teams together to resolve issues and achieve targets and goals. Knowledge of strategic sourcing and procurement work processes and solutions. Sense of ownership and urgency. Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time. Work Environment

The work environment includes office work, travel to other offices, and on‑board ship functions. A high noise level is possible when visiting shipboard or off‑site locations.
