Responsibilities
Understand manufacturing and test equipment concepts, technologies, and techniques.
Design manufacturing processes within schedule and budgetary parameters.
Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods.
Define equipment maintenance requirements, identify root causes of equipment failures, and develop hands‑on maintenance solutions.
Collaborate with engineering stakeholders and customers on problem solving and continuous improvement.
Participate in PFMEA development and control plan updates.
Write and update work instructions and other technical documents.
Analyze and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
Coordinate with production and customers on product design, tooling, and specification changes.
Provide technical cost information for management decisions.
Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training.
Experience in manufacturing of electrical components (preferred).
Proficiency with CAD, robot and PLC programming, and automation components.
Testing skills: oscilloscope, cable and harness testing, troubleshooting, component testing, logic analyzer.
Inspection skills: bare board, systems, components, cable and harness, microscope, measuring tools.
Mechanical and electrical tools: taps, dies, alignment tools, measuring tools.
Office skills: telephone, data entry, word processing, spreadsheet, presentation package.
